Small Things Considered is the gallery's annual exhibition of works of art sized 10” x 10” x 10" or smaller. This exhibition aligns with the holiday season to provide shoppers with the opportunity to find one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on their list.
For this year's display, we brings together a dynamic mix of Florida artists, featuring 26 represented by the gallery alongside a juried selection of work by 22 guest artists, 12 of whom are first-time exhibitors. These artists were selected from an open call with over 50 submissions.
The Arts on Douglas artists included in this exhibition are Stephen Bach, Susan Bach, Margaret Baker, Kelly Berning, Trent Berning, Donne Bitner, Thomas Brewer, Stacey Fletcher, Carly Gibran Hamid, Gabrielle Gould, Nancy Hamlin-Vogler, Jane Jennings, Allison Kline, Riitta Klint, Donna McCarthy-Jensen, Shawn Meharg, Peggi Nadeau, Joseph Palmerio, Sara Pedigo, Christine Peloquin, Spencer Pettit, Juliana Romnes, Robert Ross, Jo Sinclair, Ericka Sobrack, and Pamela Werneth.
The guest artists selected to participate are Brianna Angelakis Palfi, Gail Beveridge, Elizabeth Bhimjee, Byron Capo, Maria Daas, Rupal Dave, Grace Leal, Vanessa Meharg, Debra Mixon Holliday, Liz Murphy Thomas, Peter Palfi, Robert Pearson, Lynn Rattray, Per Hans Romnes, Joyce Shelton, Janas Smith Durkee, Barbara Tiffany, Kim Rae Taylor, Laura Towne, Cynthia Vener, Nick Vincent, and Patricia Zalisko.
As a whole, this year’s exhibition incorporates an exciting variety of artwork by some of Florida's finest artists. Shoppers can explore a wide selection of subject matter that includes luminous seascapes, energized abstractions, expressive animals, and festive ornaments. Mediums include paintings, sculpture, collage/mixed media, photography, jewelry, and functional ceramics.
