About the Exhibition:

Now in its twelfth year, this fun, upbeat, exhibition celebrates the summer season through the creative endeavors of 32 Florida artists. This includes work by 25 artists represented by the gallery alongside a juried selection of 7 guest artists chosen from nearly 60 entries. The artists in this exhibition work in a range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and jewelry.

One example from the show is the piece titled Local Species (above)  by Jacksonville area artist Shawn Meharg (top). In this painting, a school of fish appear to glide through the air - mid jump - against a soft muted landscape. The Offering, by Orlando-based artist Margaret Baker (left), is another example of a poignant summer moment. In this painting, Baker depicts a young boy proudly sharing a frog that he discovered.

Gallery-goers can find a wide range of summer scenes, impressions, memories, and experiences presented in this display, from stylized palm trees, wooden boats, and moody landscapes, to summer fashion statements, colorful abstractions, and sculpted sea life. There are also three jewelers in this year's exhibition, bringing fresh summer collections of handcrafted adornments to the show. As a whole, this highly anticipated summer exhibition has something for everyone, and is a great way to escape the heat, while still experiencing summer's splendor.
