City of New Smyrna Beach Chambers Exhibition

Through our partnership with the City of New Smyrna Beach and Atlantic Center for the Arts, Arts on Douglas presents quarterly rotating exhibitions at the James W. Hathaway Commission Chambers, located at 214 Sams Ave, to showcase artists represented by the gallery. To see these exhibitions, visit the receptionist to be let into the Chambers.

Expressions of Place
August 6 – November 12

Through November 12, discover our most recent installation titled Expressions of Place, a collection of recent work by Ormond Beach artist Karlene McConnell. Known for her vibrant, gestural paintings, McConnell uses simplified lines and abstract forms to evoke movement, energy, and emotion across a diverse range of subjects. Inspired by her life along Florida's waterways, many of her works reflect the natural beauty, light, and rhythms of the state's coastal landscape.
