Arts on Douglas's Artist Talk series provides a unique opportunity to learn more about our exhibiting artists and their artwork.

Stephen Heywood & Sarah Alexander: Material Systems May 24 2014

Arts on Douglas announces the opening of a two-person exhibition entitled Material Systems, featuring ceramic sculptures created by Stephen Heywood and abstract paintings by Sarah Alexander. Material Systems will be on view from June 7 through July 26, 2014 with an opening reception, for the artists, on Saturday, June 7 from 4-7pm and an Artists’ Talk on Saturday, June 21 at 4pm. The opening reception, exhibition, and Artists’ Talk are free and open to the public.

Recipe for Disaster: new alt_space exhibition April 19 2014

The alt_space gallery presents Recipe for Disaster, a solo exhibition featuring diorama photography and large-scale digital collage by Tampa artist, Forrest MacDonald. The exhibition will be on view from May 3, 2014 through June 14, 2014, with an opening reception on Saturday, May 3, 4 - 7 PM. The opening reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.

New Smyrna Beach, FL –– Arts on Douglas presents, Seasonal Crossings, a solo exhibition featuring woodblock prints by artist and printmaker Mollie Doctrow. For the month of April, Arts on Douglas presents Marks of Memory, a solo exhibition featuring a collection of mixed media paintings and monotypes by Orlando artist, Donne Bitner. The exhibition will be on view from April 5, 2014 through April 26, 2014 with an opening reception on Saturday, April 5th from 4-7 pm. The opening reception and exhibition are free and open to the public. 

What's it Worth? March 14 2014

Have you ever wondered if those old paintings and drawings that you inherited from Aunt Lucille were genuine or junk? If so, dust off those works of art and get them professionally evaluated at What’s it Worth?, a 2-day fundraising event at Arts on Douglas. This 2-day program includes a captivating lecture on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6-7pm and antique roadshow-style fine art valuation on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9-5.

alt_space Exhibition Featuring David Isenhour February 21 2014

The alt_space gallery presents Distant Landscapes, a solo exhibition featuring a collection of morphological sculptures by Orlando artist, David Isenhour. Isenhour’s body of work interweaves popular culture, scientific, and fine art motifs. The exhibition will be on view from March 1, 2014 through April 12, 2014, with an opening reception on Saturday, March 1, 4 - 7 PM.

Hope Barton Opening Reception February 20 2014

During the month of March, Arts on Douglas presents In the Moment, a solo exhibition featuring a collection of landscape paintings by St. Augustine artist, Hope Barton. The exhibition will be on view from March 1, 2014 through March 29, 2014 with an opening reception on Saturday, March 1 from 4-7 pm. Both the exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.

New Artist Exhibition 2014 January 25 2014

Arts on Douglas presents,New Artist Exhibition 2014, a group exhibition featuring mixed media paintings, ceramic sculptures, and fine art jewelry by seven exceptional artists, new to the gallery. The artists in this exhibition collectively demonstrate bold and innovative ways of working with paint, clay, and metal. The participating artists include: Kelly Berning, Trent Berning, Cicero Greathouse, Titane Laurent, Bridgette Rallo, Chris Robb, and Barbara Umbel. The group exhibition will be on view from February 1, 2014 through February 22, 2014 with an opening reception on Saturday, February 1 from 4-7 pm.
