Join us Saturday, October 7 from 4-7 PM for the opening of a solo exhibition by Ormond Beach mixed-media artist BJ Lantz titled Versatility. This exhibition will be on view October 7 - 28 in the Feature Gallery with the opening reception scheduled for Saturday, October 7 from 4-7 PM. During this opening, the gallery will be featuring light refreshments, cocktails and smooth jazz by the TRio with Ron Gilotti on the bass, Tom Monte on the guitar and Tyler Rosenke on the drums. An Artists Talk is scheduled for Friday, October 27 at 11 AM.

STORYTELLERS 17: Gallery Talk with Peter Schreyer August 10 2017

In conjunction with Storytellers 17, on view in the alt_space, Peter Schreyer will be discussing this exhibition, the story behind the project, and his role working with New Smyrna Beach teens to document their historic African American community. Endless Summer: A Group Exhibition

Opening Reception: Saturday, August 5, 4-7 PM
New Smyrna Beach, FL — Arts on Douglas is pleased to announce the opening of its annual themed group exhibition Endless Summer. Paying homage to the 1960s cult classic film of the same name, this fun, lighthearted exhibition is a visual exploration of the summer season and all that it entails.
The opening reception for Endless Summer runs from 4-7 PM on Saturday, August 5. To supplement the event, the gallery is showcasing an interactive summer themed photo booth and a signature summer cocktail. Live reggae and modern beach music will also be performed by the Funky Volcanoes, with Andrew Elliot on guitar and vocals and Tyler Rosenke on the drums. Shoes and shirts are required, but guests may show up in their favorite summer attire -- from beach chic to tacky tourist, and save 10% on any Endless Summer purchases the night of the opening. This exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.

Harrell Black Heritage Museum in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Nocturnes: A Group Exhibition May 18 2017
New Smyrna Beach, FL — Arts on Douglas is pleased to announce the opening of Nocturnes, a themed group exhibition curated by Dr. James Murphy. This exhibition explores the tradition of the nocturne in art and presents how contemporary artists interpret this theme utilizing a range of media. Nocturnes will be on view from June 3 - July 29, 2017. An opening reception is slated for Saturday, June 3 from 4 - 7 PM. During the reception, the gallery will feature light refreshments and the smooth jazz stylings of Trés Bien, featuring Ron Gilotti on the bass, Tyler Rosenke on the drums and Brian Tetras on the piano. The gallery will host a Curators Talk with Dr. James Murphy on Friday, July 14 at 11 AM.

New Exhibitions in May April 14 2017
New Smyrna Beach, FL — Arts on Douglas is excited to announce the opening of two new exhibitions for the month of May. In the feature gallery, a solo exhibition by St. Augustine based mixed-media artist Jo Sinclair titled Navigating the Soul’s Journey will be on view from May 6 – 27 with an Artists Talk on Friday, May 19 at 11am. In the alt_space gallery, we will be showcasing Photogravures by Key West photographic artist Carol Munder. This exhibition will be on view from May 6 – June 10.
The opening reception for both exhibitions will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 4-7 pm. During the reception, the gallery will be featuring light refreshments and the smooth jazz stylings of Howard Herman on the piano, John Pellegrino on the bass and Tyler Rosenke on the drums.
