Small Things Considered Exhibition December 08 2018

Arts on Douglas is pleased to announce the opening of its premier year-end group exhibition and holiday sale, Small Things Considered. This annual exhibition features original small-scale works of art sized 10” x 10” or smaller. The opening reception will take place on Saturday,  December 1 from 4-7 PM. The gallery will be featuring the smooth jazz stylings of TRio with Ron Gilotti on the upright base, Tyler Rosenke on the drums and Howard Post on the guitar. Cocktails, wine, and light refreshments will be available. This exhibition will remain on view, in the feature gallery, through January 8, 2019.

Just in time for the gift-giving season, Small Things Considered provides art lovers with an excellent opportunity to find one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on their holiday list. This much-anticipated exhibition features a variety of media including painting, sculpture, jewelry, printmaking, ceramics, photography and more. Some examples in this year’s exhibition include the bright and whimsical abstract paintings of Ormond Beach artist Stacey Fletcher, ceramic vases and luminaries by Mt. Dora based Peggi Nadeau, contemporary silver jewelry by metal-smith Jennifer Letter; sculptural figures by Orlando based ceramicist Todd K. Fox, and ethereal mixed-media seascapes by St. Augustine artist Jo Sinclair.


Of this year's 39 participants, twenty-seven Arts on Douglas artists are participating in this exhibition, including Susan Bach, Kelly Berning, Trent Berning, Donne Bitner, Tom Brewer, Stacey Fletcher, Todd K. Fox, Carly Gibran Hamid, Rene Guerin, Ed Harris, Allison Kline, BJ Lantz, Jennifer Letter, Karlene McConnell, Gustaf Miller, Jan Miller, Joseph Palmerio, Sara Pedigo, Christine Peloquin, Robert Ross, Jo Sinclair, Wendy Tatter, Trish Thompson, Rose Thome Casterline, Wendy Thurlow, Anna Tomczak, and Pam Werneth.
