ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Join us for the opening of our annual themed group exhibition Endless Summer. Paying homage to the 1960s cult classic film of the same name, this fun, upbeat exhibition is a visual exploration of the summer season and all that it entails. Now in its sixth year, this display, curated by Gallery Director, Meghan Martin, features 26 artists, each presenting their interpretations of summer ideals, memories, experiences and sensations in unique and creative ways.
The opening reception for this exhibition runs from 4-7 PM on Saturday, August 4. To supplement the event, the gallery is showcasing an interactive summer themed photo booth courtesy of Simoneau Photography, a signature cocktail, and live jazz renditions of summertime hits by TRio, featuring Ron Gilotti on the upright bass, Howard Post on the guitar and Tyler Rosenke on the drums. Shoes and shirts are required, but guests may show up in their favorite summer attire -- from beach chic to tacky tourist, and save 10% on any Endless Summer purchases the night of the opening.

The 26 exhibitors in this exhibition are made up of a juried selection of 13 guest artists and 13 artists represented by the gallery. Guest artist and first time-exhibitor from Mount Dora, Heather Earnest’s piece titled Popsicle Dreams is a vibrant tribute to the theme. Her watercolor painting is bursting with a rainbow of color as she playfully depicts popsicles in various states of melting, an oasis of coolness slowly succumbing to the summer heat. Alongside Heather, gallery artist and returning exhibitor Bobbi Baugh also plays with notions of the summer heat in her piece aptly named Heat Wave Textures. This monotype collage layers cool green foliage against warm orange hues, combining shapes, textures, and patterns with a strong summer sensibility.
"This fun themed exhibition and reception is a proven favorite among our gallery patrons," states Gallery Director, Meghan Martin,“This year's exhibition includes a nice mix of 2 and 3-dimensional works including the vibrant, yet serene mixed-media encaustics created by St. Augustine artist Jo Sinclair and the lively, coral-inspired vessel forms by Mount Dora sculptor Peggi Nadeau." She continues, "As a whole, the artwork in this exhibition showcases a diverse range of talented Florida artists that collectively captured the essence of the summer season in their own, unique ways."
