Tim Jaeger is a Sarasota-based painter, curator, and educator whose work and leadership have helped shape the cultural landscape of Florida’s Gulf Coast for over two decades. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Jaeger moved to Sarasota in 1998 to attend Ringling College of Art and Design, where he graduated with a B.F.A. as a Trustee Scholar. He has since remained deeply connected to the institution, serving for more than 17 years and currently holding the role of Director and Chief Curator of Galleries and Exhibitions. In this capacity, he oversees nine on-campus galleries, teaches Exhibition Design and Management, and has curated nearly 200 exhibitions—bringing a depth of experience that is both expansive and impactful. Jaeger is also co-owner of the award-winning 502 Gallery in Sarasota’s Burns Court Historic District, extending his influence within the region’s contemporary art scene. 

As a painter, Jaeger is best known for his large-scale works that explore repetition, movement, and collective behavior. His practice bridges abstraction and representation, creating immersive compositions that reflect themes of energy, interconnectedness, and perception. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries, art fairs, and collections across the United States, and he has collaborated with collectors, institutions, and organizations on commissions and curatorial projects.
