“Time has repaved this red brick road with dirt, leaves and undergrowth.  Spanning Flagler and St. Johns Counties, vandals have absconded with many of its original pavers.  Part of the original Dixie Hwy that connected Miami to Chicago, this deserted stretch traverses pine forests, oak hammocks, and swamps. Captured in infrared, the filtered sunlight spotlights our forgotten past.”
