“La Mola is a small island fortification on the eastern end of  Mahon, Menorca.  Known as the Fortress of Isabel II, it was initiated in 1708 and continued to be used into the late 1990s. The  centuries have taken a toll on its hand-built stone, but I find it amazingly beautiful how the streaming sunlight brings life to the darkness.”
