“La Mola is a small island fortification set on the eastern end of Mahon, Menorca.  Known as the Fortress of Isabel II, it was initiated in 1708 and continued to be used into the later parts of the 1990s.  This window, though broken, is part of the modern officers’ quarters.  The hole at the top was or a flag or sign.”
