Artist Statement

As a printmaker, I exhibited in juried art festivals for 25 years.  Throughout this time, I have transitioned from creating multiple-plate etchings to monotypes in addition to hand-colored etchings and acrylic paintings.

Painting in acrylics has expanded my etching technique to a more painterly style. I continue to divide my time between etchings and paintings that are inspired by water and the surrounding areas.  I enjoy the abstractions of nature reflecting in the water and the lingering light patterns on trees.
